The Rotary Club Sunrise of Road Town in keeping with the stated purpose of Rotary International (Rotary's primary motto is "Service Above Self") is pleased to be able to announce the following:

· The Rotary Club Sunrise of Road Town adopts The Adina Donavon Home for the Elderly.
· The Rotary Club Sunrise of Road Town donates a wheelchair, a walker, and a lifting device.
· The Rotary Club Sunrise of Road Town pledges future projects to benefit The Adina Donavon Home for the Elderly.

Rotary Club Sunrise President Jean P. Vanterpool stated: The members of the Rotary Club Sunrise of Road Town are very pleased to be presenting these most needed items to the Adina Donovan Home which will assist with mobility of its residents and also to help relief the strain on staff when delivering care.

As a club we are committed to adopting the Home and to work closely with the management to make the lives of the elderly residents as comfortable as possible in their twilight years; many of whom in their younger days made significant contributions to the development of the Virgin Islands. Very soon we will be announcing a fundraising event that will assist in providing more needed items for the home and I’m sure that the community will not hesitate to support this worthy cause.

Rotary is committed to providing humanitarian assistance where the need arises and Rotary Sunrise is helping to carry out that mandate.

Adina Donavon Home for the Elderly Chaplain (and Rotary Club Sunrise Member) - Dr. Robert “Storm” Wright commented: This is a marriage that I am proud to be a part of. The beautiful people involved in Rotary have love big enough to fill a need.
