Synopsis of weekly meeting - 6 July, 2010.

Fellow Rotarians Our breakfast meeting this morning was our club's first meeting of the new Rotary Year. With President Ken in the driver's seat and SAA Heskith liberally handing out fines, it was a lively session with 21 members, 6 visiting Rotarians and 5 guests in attendance. President Ken read greetings from our new District Governor, Diana White and Rotarian Danielle gave us highlights from the trip to Anegada last Friday. We were all happy to see Rotarian Joanne in one piece after her mishap with a scooter! Rotarian Geoff Holt was our guest of honour and updated us on his service initiatives and recent achievements in the UK. This year promises to be busy one and we are already scheduled for hands on work this weekend at the Special Olympics BBQ on Sunday (President Elect Donna is coordinating this event) and the Premier's Cup Regatta on Monday (Rotarian Shana has details). A community service project in Virgin Gorda is slated for later this month, so stay tuned for details. Have a great week and hope to see you all next Tuesday.
